Kon Darp Oh man I didn't know I needed Political Math Rock in my life. Come for the tasty riffage, stay for the sincere expression of community and empathy. It's refreshing to listen to a guy using his music to talk about things that matter. Favorite track: Babel.

about

This album is about unity, anti-racism, communication, and my dogs with hints of math rock, post rock, country, and even hardcore punk. I did a lot of thinking and research during this pandemic. I actually worked the whole time and drove a truck every work day for the past year. I had a lot to think about. I thought a good deal about racism, conflicts, confusion, anger, language, communication, solutions, problems... eventually I would catch a really emotional state about these things and I would find myself writing about it while driving (well, when I pulled over... sometimes I would just use voice memo). At the time of writing each lyric. I made a lot of sense to myself thinking the way I did. I tried to make sense of the lyrics later as well and apparently, I made so much sense to me that I decided to record my songs and bring forth; Mockingbird. I hope these songs make sense to you as well. I feel like I'm still subjected to having a better perspective that leads me to having a fair and just position. I feel like I'm pretty confident in my opinions for now. if anyone would like to talk to me about it. I'd really like to have a conversation, even if its the song about my dogs. feel free to message me!

My friend, Gary Likely, did all the drums in two days. I just gotta say that was pretty badass on his end. he is a killer drummer. He contributed to this album and gave it a flavor that I just couldn't of thought of to put into each song. his ideas when it comes to drumming and rhythm are incomparable! thank you, Gary, for your genius

My other friend, Jeremy Strickland, made this album sound like it was made with way more equipment than what was used. he is absolutely excellent when it comes to mixing, mastering, and so creative when it comes to production ideas. he really brought this album to life. if this mix was the Balrog, Jeremy is Gandalf!

thanks you, my friends
